My Interview with Author Emily Bowie

When did you first realize you wanted to become a Writer/author?

 In high school. I was always writing “short” stories. 

Where do you get your ideas for your book?

 Honestly ideas just come to me. I get inspiration from everywhere. Current events, TV, in life in general. 

What kind of things do you enjoy when not writing?

 I am very active. I like to run 5k races. I am often playing outside with my children. I love having a glass of wine while I cook dinner. 

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

 I have written 4. My latest one, Recklessly Mine is my favorite. 

Do you have any suggestions to help others who have a passion for writing?

The more you write the better and easier it becomes. 

What do you think makes a great story?

 The plot. Without a flowing story that has a good plot it is hard to keep a readers interest.

 KC Lynn, Tilly Brageshawe

What are you working on at the moment?(optional)

I am editing recklessly Mine, and currently starting book 2 in the Bennett brothers series, Recklessly Forbidden. 

What genre are your books?

 A steamy romantic suspense

What drew you to the genre you write?

 It is what I love to read. 

Which Actor/Actress would you like to see portraying the lead character from your most recent book?(any book you like)

 Chris Hemsworth as Chase in my book Recklessly Mine. 

Do you write full-time or part-time?

 Part time

What is the hardest thing about writing?

 Finding the time to sit down and do it. 

Any tips on how to get through the dreaded Writer’s block?

 Ahhh the dreaded writers block. I go on reading binges. 

Do you read much, and if so who are your favorite Authors or genres?

 I read a ton!! At least a book a week or two. But if I am super busy writing it can be less. I love KC Lynn, KJ Lewis, Heather Bentley, VF Mason, CC Monroe.
